Wembury is a picturesque village on the south coast of Devon, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and part of the South Devon Heritage Coast. There is plenty to do with a great beach for sunbathing, surfing and rock pool exploring with a Marine Centre and beach cafe. The National Trust have a webpage of things to do and see in the area if you are interested in exploring wildlife and history. The South West Coast Path is just 400 metres from Shearwater. The path to the right heads towards Plymouth and the left to the beautiful neighbouring villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo on the river Yealm. A small seasonal foot passenger ferry can take you across the river Yealm. A stay in Wembury is just the thing for a peaceful and relaxing break from the rat-race! Places to eat There are plenty of places to eat in the area. We can provide evening meals for groups of four and packed lunches with your stay too for an additional fee.
